PHOTO ÉVÉNEMENTIELLE PARIS
Frequently asked questions
Planning, pricing, delivery and usage rights: answers to help prepare your professional event photography in Paris and Île-de-France.
How does an event photography assignment in Paris work?
We agree on the date, venue, programme and priority images. I prepare and supervise the assignment; the attending photographer is confirmed before you approve the quote. The complete gallery is usually delivered within 24 to 72 hours. A priority selection of 10 to 20 images is available for an additional €150, at an agreed time.
How do I hire a photographer for a professional event in Paris?
Send the event type, date, venue and main requirements through the contact form or by email. I provide an initial reply within one working day. Once you approve the quote, a deposit confirms the booking. I then handle the brief, coordination with your team where needed, a site visit if the venue warrants it, and a shared plan before the event.
How far in advance should I book an event photographer?
Get in touch as soon as you know the date, with the venue and planned format, even if these are provisional. Availability must be confirmed for each enquiry. The booking is confirmed when the quote is signed and the 30% deposit is paid.
How do I choose a photographer for a professional event in Paris?
It depends on your priorities. If you need a photographer specialising in B2B events, working discreetly and independently with fast delivery and references including the French government, Givenchy, Orange and EDF Fondation, I may be a suitable match. Based in Paris, I have covered company events since 2011: conferences, seminars, trade shows, corporate receptions and product launches.
Do you work in every arrondissement of Paris?
Based at 111 boulevard de Sébastopol in Paris’s 2nd arrondissement, I work throughout Paris and Île-de-France. Porte de Versailles, Carrousel du Louvre, Grande Halle de la Villette, Palais des Congrès, hotels, company headquarters and cultural venues: I understand their access, lighting and logistical constraints and adapt to each setting.
What are the benefits of hiring a professional photographer for an event?
Professional coverage records key moments, people and branding in your event’s real conditions. The brief sets out your priorities, image uses and deadlines; you then receive selected and edited photographs ready for your channels.
What distinguishes a specialist in company events?
Understanding communication goals, working discreetly and independently, anticipating key moments and delivering usable images are central to my B2B approach. My institutional and corporate references can be viewed in the portfolio. For a direct enquiry, use the contact form or email contact@damienguillaume.com; I aim to provide an initial reply within one working day.
How much does a B2B event photographer in Paris cost?
Half-day coverage of 4 hours starts at €750; a full day of 8 hours costs €1,200–€1,500. Any overruns are included in the price. Travel within Île-de-France, selection, editing and the gallery are included. A priority selection of 10 to 20 images costs an additional €150, at an agreed time. VAT is not applicable; prices are final and usage rights are specified in the quote.
Should I use an event agency or an independent photographer?
Both have advantages. An agency offers one contact to manage the entire event — decor, catering, entertainment and photography — which is useful for a complex event without a dedicated team. A specialist independent photographer offers direct contact, responsiveness and dedicated photographic expertise. For communications and marketing teams with clear requirements, this can be a simpler arrangement. The two approaches also complement each other: I regularly work as a subcontractor for Paris event agencies.
Can we work together on several events during the year?
Yes. I offer individual assignments quoted case by case and an annual allocation with an agreed number of days and reduced rates. Over time I get to know your brand, contacts, visual requirements and deadlines, making each assignment smoother and the imagery more consistent. Several clients have worked with me on this basis for more than a year.
How do I find a professional photographer for a seminar in Paris?
Ask to see a complete assignment comparable to your programme, a clear delivery deadline and a quote describing the coverage. If workshops overlap, agree on priorities and the number of photographers required. The complete selected and edited gallery is usually delivered within 24 to 72 hours. Deadlines are specified in the quote. A priority selection of 10 to 20 images is available for an additional €150, at a time agreed in advance.
How do I book a photographer for a product launch?
Send the date, venue and planned running order, even if provisional. I provide an initial reply within one working day. I prepare your quote personally after reviewing your brief. For launches, I usually ask in advance about press image requirements, reveal moments and confidentiality constraints. Booking is confirmed on signature of the quote, with a 30% deposit.
